All Is Quiet in the Valley

The 23rd Psalm rambled through my head this morning as our household once again got quiet.  Our children and grandkids have returned home after a wonderful week of memories and goodbyes.  Debbie is slowing slipping away as her transition home approaches.  It's getting hard for her to communicate from the progression of her cancer.  Through it all, she is in good spirits and living out her walk with Jesus from here to home with joy and peace.
Isaiah 26:3 reminds us, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You."
Romans 8:28 also tells us, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."
Even on the darkest days, it is a good day in the Presence of our God who brings us through that darkness in His eternal light.  We are blessed.

Bart & Debbie,

Having just gone through this transition with my Mom, my heart goes out to you. I can only encourage you to focus on Jesus taking Debbie's hand and carrying her to her beautiful new and forever home in a healthy & happy body. We will all make this journey. As I told my Mom, she was going on before me but I would be along shortly. You will be together again! Love & prayers for all of you. Betty Gathers

Bart and Debbie, please know we continue to pray for you during this time of transitions. It is such a sweet time, but full of tears and joys. We as believers have heaven waiting as Jesus prepares to bring in another saint to the heavenly realm. As my brother-in-law prepared for his death, he and my sister-in-law shared these scriptures with us: Ps. 91:14 "Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days." and Ps. 31:11-12 "You turned my wailing into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever." May they be a comfort to you as well.
We love you!

This is a place we shared Debbie's journey. Miranda is publishing Debbie's journal on a separate blog: Click here  We often find times when Christ our Lord is carrying us because we are too weak to walk, but we always know Jesus is right in the middle of it leading us through. All Praise and glory be to God our creator, redeemer and sustainer.
