God is our constant companion and guide on our journey through life.  He has richly blessed us and continues to do so even though the moments look dark and full of despair.  
Deb's cancer has significantly progressed the past month and she was in the hospital last Monday for an emergency proceedure to open up her primary bile duct that has been blocked by the progression of the cancer.  That proceedure was not successful and we have learned that it's now time to focus on the time left to be with friends and family and count all the blessings we have received during Deb's wonderful lifetime.  Deb will be depending on hospice care in her time left with us which will insure that she is comfortable can concentrate on life in the transition.

The past couple of weeks have been a little challenging as Deb continues to move through this next phase of treatment. She has been dealing with increased pain and fatigue and for the past 10 days has seen her skin and eyes turn yellow from the effects of chemo and swelling of her liver.  One of her liver enzymes that measures the bilirubin in her blood as jumped up to 9 [normal range is from 0.2 to 1.2 with Jaundice setting in at over 3]  While her of liver enzymes show close to normal liver function, this one is way out of line.  She went to St. Joe Hospital last night to have an MRCP [Magnetic Resonance CholangioPancreatography] run which is like an MRI but designed to detail the liver/pancreas part of her abdomen.  From the results, we learned that many of her liver bile ducts have become blocked as well as her primary bile duct. 
We will be seeing a gastro-intestinal oncologist on Monday morning to determine what course of action might be taken.  It is possible to put a stint in the primary bile duct to open it but the ducts in the liver are too small for this procedure.  There are a lot of unknowns at this point.  
We are so blessed to have all of the prayer and personal support in this time.  I will try to keep new information here as I know it as Debbie isn't feeling much like writing.  Our trip to New York and Nashville now is currently up in the air, although I believe we will be able to get to Nashville, just not sure we have the energy to enjoy New York.  
Our God us full of Grace and mercy and our focus is on Him and His journey for us.  All of this is easy because of the sacrifice in love by our true Elder Brother and Savior Jesus Christ.  We are never at an end, but only in transition.
